The fishing doesn’t stop when the summer ends in Homer. The waters here offer what the locals have
known about for generations – some of the best King Salmon fishing of the year. When the temperature
cools down the Salmon bite heats up. Referred to as feeder Kings these fish are of the highest quality
eating found anywhere in the world.
This is truly an Alaskan experience. Don’t let the calendar fool you, winter time is a great time to come
down to Homer and get out of the house and have some fun. Temperatures in Homer are much warmer
due to our location on the ocean. Often, most clients arrive from Anchorage or Fairbanks to escape the
cold but I do get a lot of travelers that come from all over the world.
*The Limit for Winter Kings are 2 per person per day all winter Long and they are not required to be
recorded on your license.
